Does any one know who does diesel V8 conversions into a GQ in Adelaide. I know they are done in WA but dont want to travel?

I made a curved upper arm for for my GQ, after a bit of punishment it broke on the bend ( i since have herd of others breaking as well) , so i have currently got the tank out and am cutting it down on the back to a 45 angle so i can run a straight arm which is allot stronger.

im gona pic up a new transfer case tonight and swap it ova and see if that helps, i think it will.

How much is invoved in changing the transfer case....

Yea ok , i checked all that out when i chenged the diff centres to 4:3s .

na manual hubs, has autos they are a pain in the ass.

I dont understand how cv's can slip, i have been leaning towards the transfer case lt could be missing a couple of teeth..

My GQ when in 4x4 under load has a intermitent bang from the drive line and seams to loose drive for a plit second. I thought at first it may be a hub problem, i have since pulled the hubs off and there is no visible wear on any of the teeth surfaces. I have changed both front & rear diffs along ...

It is a long wheel base. If it is the output shaft brg does the box need to come out?

I have replaced all the wheel brg's and all the king pin brg's and double checked them. I think that you could be on the money with the uni's as i have been speaking to a drive shaft mob and they sais to start there, ill get it balanced and change the uni's. Cheers for the ideas.

Better, its not so much a vibration its more of a drone ( like out of balance tyres )

Na no caster plates i have drop boxes instead. What makes it strange is when ya get upto speed 100-110 and put the clutch in it seems to go away, been told that i might be the tailshaft but i dont understand why it would dissapear with the clutch is as the drive line is still spinning>

My GQ has a mistury vibration and droning sensation thought the car when hitting the 100km/h mark. The problem disappears as soon as i put the clutch in. The car has a 4" lift and runs 35s. Any Ideas??
