Diff reco in Penrith NSW

Hi Guys My diff is stuffed in my 84 ln65 hilux. I need to organise a reco for it. I know of only one diff place around Penrith (Western Manual), and last time I was there I had a big argument with the fella and we nearly came to blows - no way he's touching my truck again, he's a dickhead. Anyone ...

Hilux Centre Bearing

I've got an 83/84 Hilux. Can someone tell me, how much movement should the tail shaft have inside the centre bearing? 1-2 inches? A clicking noise has starting coming from the drive train somewhere. Its worse when going up a hill in 1st gear, its a bit better in second gear, and isn't there at all ...

This is unliley but worth mentioning - check the battery terminals are nice and tight. Exactly what you've described has happened to me before (accessories dying when hitting a bump), and I just needed to tighen my terminals.

Fan not cutting in, is it the fan, or wiring?

Guys

The fan on my hilux 4wd isn't cutting in, just wondering what the quickest / easiest way to test if its the fan itself, or if its wiring?

I've got a VN motor in it, im not sure if the fans from the VN, or the Hilux (I didn't do the conversion)

New 4x4 tyre. Nitto Mud Grappler

Has anyone had any experience with the "Nitto Mud Grappler"

See http://66.54.67.57/tires_mudgrappler.asp

This is a pretty new type - apparently "Nitto" are a big name in the drag racing tyre industry?

Any experiences? Anyone know prices?

Yep I have the MARKS conversion..... So It's a Commodore clutch I'd have. Could I just go and buy a VN Commodore Clutch kit, and that'd have everything I need to completely replace it? (I'll be getting someone to do it for me, won't be attempting myself). I think given that I've got a series 1, I'll ...

Also....

If I did decide to get the clutch replaced instead of fitting an auto - would it be a hilux clutch, or a commodore clutch? Gearbox is original hilux. The adapter has me all confused.
