i have heard of the 4.1 x-flow motor conversion but never the ohc 4litre done making it fit isnt a issuse just the bell housing is a worry

the auto is a zf 4-22 which is a borg warner i thought ?

just wondering has anyone fitted a 3.9 or 4.0 litre falcon motor into rangie and wondering about bellhousing compatibility on the borg warner auto's

mate i have a gq and 80s diff out rangie ill sell you or you take the whole thing cheers

will a 60s centre fit a 80 diff?

is there any different in size with gq and gu booster ? cheers

cheers thanks ive heard good things about lockrite lockers but will i need a different centrer ?

i have a 80series lsd is it worth shimming to make it lockup harder or better to go to a lockrite?

Have just purchised a 2002 challenger in need of a bit of TLC and am having trouble finding body parts for it has anyone got any suggestions as it is becoming irritating and frustrating

i just done a 65mm body lift i can email you some pics if you like

righto its has adpater and the bellhousing has "RITTER ADPATER" on it, the auto looks like a C4

well does this help......... in this gregory's workshop book the 4spd transfer looks the same as what i have, but ill grab a torch and go and have a look

mine is auto does that make a difference to internals?

all the star gears are smashed to a million bits and marked all the inside of the diff housing including chewing the splines off the end of the out put shaft shaft

not sure what it is only new to rangies but it has big rectangle inspection plate out of 80mod with auto, and i have a 90 mod rangie and the transfer different what i need is rear output shaft and differental unit if that makes sense

hey aqua i sold you a 285 MTR a while back mate would you have any old transfer cases to suit early rangie or know anyone

thanks lokka ,yes the missus was very lucky, how much do you know about auto's in the early rangie (80mod) i picked up a 2 door the other day cheap with crook transfer i pulled the back of the transfer out last night to find the differential unit completely chewed up including the end of the rear ...

problem solved the misses rolled the shopping trolley yesterday now i have a 3.9 to use.have a look not good

would a 253 be an option the reason i say this i have a 253 in the shed i have engine mounts to do the conversion a cluey mate of mine recons he could modify my bellhousing that i have to put a holden into cruiser to suit disco 5spd

whats the deal with head gaskets how much machining with heads

im not spending big $$$$ but i want it strong and reliable how far can you bore it and what pistons can be used

i have a 4.4 p76 motor due for rebuild what mods and how much can i get out of it........ performance wise??????

hey fellas i got it fixed it was the tag that drives the oil pump on bottom of dizzy because it was a holden dizzy they used a hacksaw to make new end and it was thin i meant the thickness of a 20c piece.but all good now i thank all for responding

Thanks Eric. It's not the plunger, pulled pump apart, turned motor by hand, gear not driving.
