tb42 are adjustable valves sounds like you just need them adjusted pretty easy job.

get some early 80 series offset rims should do fine and 3 inches would do and/or maybe a bit of a body lift

to adjust the inner nut i just use the weight of the ratchet/spanner and then go a little bit more you don't want to go too tight and if it's too loose you will know when the wheel is attached you will get sideways play

if you are getting fuel to the carby then it must be a carby problem it will need to be rebuilt

i would fit a clear hose between the fuel primer pump and the injector pump and see if you are sucking any air through i have seen this before they can suck air through the primer.

i have a 1762ls that i have purchased on ebay and i went to fit it but it doesn't seem to line up i can't see what holes are supposed to line up and there is a little lug that it hits could someone offer some advise or even better show me a picture of one fitted
