Its normal for an engine to use a bit of oil but after rebuild and run in oil usage shouldn't be noticeable. Have you checked the coolant lately? The oil might be going into the coolant?

If the seal is of the type that consists of a metal ring with a rubber ring on the inside (like timing case oil seals and axle shaft oil seals), don't forget to put stag paste or silastic (I find stag is better) on the metal part of the seal that contacts the diff housing.

considering the damage i've seen E10 do to some feul systems, this stuff is realy going to hurt some people. What damage have you seen E10 do? Anything specific on type of damage and vehicle make & engine? most of it has been problems with the flexible hoses used in the system. some of it goes ...

I saw E85 (yes 85% ethanol) petrol at a servo the other day, they said they are trialling it so its not for sale yet. But at 98cpl it'd prolly sell quickly. Anyway has anyone used it?

I think the damage to components part is a bit of hype, my bro has a sigma (astron 1) using E10 for 6months so far and it goes fine as does my paj also astron 1, neither have any hot fuel handling concerns or damage. That said my falcon is a bit harder to start when its hot and idles a bit rougher w...
