Re: 1Kz-TE conversion into a 1982 4x4 single cab

I've done this conversion in my 82 ln46. I used a kzn130 motor, gearbox and loom. The radiator came out of a hj75 with a 3f fan on the stock fan hub trimmed to clear.
The engine mounts where just cut off and rewelded back on to suit. The gearbox mount is for an auto kzn130 with the bolt on mount ...

I'd like to try a set of rear parabolics up front on my RUF setup. Has anybody tried this??

Sorry for the hijack. I think I paid around the $400 - $500 mark just for a front set many years ago. All you can do is price around.

I seen a 79 series setup on E-bay. Do a search on there and they ...

I'll put one in for WIA. Mine is the 150 one and i use .8 wire for nearly everything from panel work up to 8mm plate. It's got a good solid hand piece that doesn't break the first time you lean on it and parts are everywhere for them. It was about $1100 i think.

At a guess yes. With no shocks in the front i can get nearly 500mm of spring out of it so i'm a little bit worried about on road handling. Might have to work out a swaybar for it . I've seen one off a speed car being used here on outers but i'll get to that when i finnally get to drive it again.

Thanks for that. Going off Bilsteins valving chart i'm going to order AK 7114SB05 for the front . It will be interesting to see how they work with parabolic RUF. I'll keep you posted if anyones interested.

Bilsteins 7100

Just chasing some info on the 7100 series shock. Has anyone used them on a hilux solid axle or any thing else and if so what did they think of them. Also what valving did you use.
Cheers
