I have a troopy and am looking at getting a tinnie to put up top.

If anyone has done this my question is how much difference did u notice in fuel economy? And was the any notable difference in on road driving and fuel economy?

Thanks mate. i've been pretty luck and alot of them have more q's and respect than bad intent. The roof's off mine all the time, and with 2 " body 4 " suspension lift (variable) 18" airbags all fibreglass body for the obvious techniacally questionable stuff the tyres aren't a real worry. Go the fibreglass! Sure there is a bit more work and mucking around invovled with installing a fibreglass tub - drilling holes, extra bolts, etc. but you get to do it how you want the first time. And because you are drilling the holes that are necessary, everything when finished looks surprising ...

I got a one piece front end for my 40 series for $980 complete. That's the head light surround, flares @ 2" wider, and bonnet with FORD style gtrilles and also a holden style scoop. Also, he loves anything custom ie. how about a 40 series tub with an esky glassed into the rear floor or glassed in compartments for your streo amp and battery? Talk to him as I have found him more than eager to step up to a challenge. His turnaround on a tub for me was 9 weeks back in 99.
