A similar thing happened to mine.
I fixed it by lifting the H-L linkage on the box up and shifting. you will find there is alot of end float in the shaft that goes into the box. something must wear and the lever and fork disengage. try it before you strip box.

What about the the Gearbox top cover? anyone know if there is any differences between the models?

I have a suspicion that there is a different top cover between the 60 and 70 series H55F's. Specifically the position of where the the shifter comes out.
I recon that the 60 series is about 2 inch further back that the 70 series.
Can anyone confirm this?
