pretty sure if you chuck it into reverse and backup a few metres that helps disengage it.

Ive heard if you chip the powder coat, it will start rusting under neath and start to flake then you have to get it done again.
That was enough to put me off as I was only looking at painting my play tyres, not worth forking out the extra if the rims are gonna cop a beating.

you can get GXL with solid axle (i know its simply a model designation thing) but just in case people were confused.

yes, only with 1FZ-FE or 1HZ engines. neither is a great option in a 105.

I would say different... i have a 105 GXL with a turboed 1hz in it and i think its great it goes just ...

100 series recovery hooks - is this dodgy ?

hey guys just looking for some opinions,

Ive fitted some front recovery hooks on my 100 series, just wondering if using 4x high tensile washers as spacers is putting extra strain on the bolts and creating weak points or could i get away with it?

not sure on the clutch fluid and yeh it was pretty much every gear.. but it did go away once it warmed up a bit.

have talked him down a grand incase i have to replace it down the track, should be getting it on wed.. will have to source a turbo first thing, the old 1HZ takes a bit to get moving :)

Im looking at buying a 2002 100 series Landcruiser, its tidy as with only 90,000 on the clock, 4.2 diesel, 5spd, but when I took it for a drive there was a very noticeable clutch shudder for the first 5-10minutes of driving until it warmed up. once it was warmed up it was completely gone ...
