What sort of offroading will you be doing?

If you do a lot of stop start driving, perhaps an auto 3.0 may be the better solution.

I did Robe (SA) at the start of 2004 right on the middle of summer. The sand was stinking hot and very fine. I brought two sets of tyres for the trip, namely a highway tread (Michelin XPC 235/70x16") and Simex Extreme Trekkers (32"x9.5x16")

Both did reasonably well and I think that the Simexes ...
