I have nothing to do for the next 4 weeks and would be happy to drive it to you. You'd have to pay my expenses for the trip though.
Hell, it's something to do and proves that the truck is sound

J-Top parts
I'm keen to sell my little Jtop but I should replace a couple of parts first. I've broken the plastic tailgate handle and the glass from the driver side mirror has fallen out. Anyone got a clue as to where I could get these things? Nobody seems to wreck jtops... Shall post up an ad in the for-sale ...

Roll cage for a SWB Jtop
The way I'm going, I will kill myself in this thing unless I install some reinforcements. As money's a bit of an issue, I'll be starting with a pair of second hand bucket seats and some 4 point harnesses. They're cheap and shouldn't be too hard to fit. After that, I think I need to look at ...

I'm done! Took a day and a half. Would have been a lot less had it not have been for those bloody front bolts! Now for a writeup... Vehicle: Mitsubishi Pajero SWB soft top (J-top) 92 model 2.5L Turbo Diesel Intercooler (this is irrelevant but will help people searching) Materials used: 4* 33"x12.5 ...

Yesterday I picked up a set of 33"x12.5" Maxxis Buckshots. Second hand but plenty of treat left. Enough to get me started anyway. I spent yesterday arvo attempting the lift but got snagged on getting the two front bolts out. There appears to be no way of getting the bloody things out. I'm about to ...

Err, I'd like to say just a few Ks around the city but I popped the tyre up at Seventeen Seventy and had to drive home from there with it on... About 600Ks at about 110km/h. I've been trying to find another car to borrow today as I have to drive up the coast in an hour but couldn't find anything ...

Right, perhaps I'm doing my maths wrong. I have a set of Merit ATs on there. P245/70 R16 The spare (now on the front drivers side) is LT235/85/85 R16. It was on the back but I shifted it forward thinking it'd be slightly better there until I can get a new set. My logic was to take it off the axle ...

Noise in back at high speed
No, this is not related to the post just below :-) I'm hearing a noise that sounds like vibration/rumbling coming from the rear of my SWB Pajero J-Top '92. It only seems to happen at high speed (80k+) and comes and goes. Sometimes I can't make it do it but other times I can quite easily. It only ...

J-Top lift project
Right, so I've done a bit of research, asked some questions, beaten the shit out of my truck and worked out its capabilities. I've also pushed my 27" (oooo) ATs to the limit and burst one of them. Twas only then that I realised that the spare on the back was a 33". Needless to say, I'm not driving ...

Bolt for a J-Top
I'm chasing a bolt which has fallen out of my '92 J-Top. Where's the best place to go and get one? Mitsubishi doesn't seem to want to help me, so should I try something like NuBolt? Obviously I need a high tensile one, anything else I need to know? Also, does anyone happen to know the dimentions of ...

Snorkels
Need a snorkel for my J-top. Thinking about getting one of these:
http://www.snorkels.com.au/product.php?productid=16143
It's either that or a more expensive Safari snorkel.
Are they alright? Any recommendations/advice?
TIA!

Ok, I'll do that in a moment - working on my truck this weekend. Off to get some new tools and things now so I'll do it when I get back. Question - Air Filter. I've got one, but it's old and shitty. I'm going to clean it out with metho and compressed air but I'm going to need to get another one soon ...

Thanks for the input guys - much appreciated. Sorry I haven't replied - been away. To answer some questions... - I don't know exactly how much the torsion bars have been wound. I'll check tonight, but I don't think they'd be against the stops. - Don't know the ratios... I'll check the paperwork I ...

J-Top lift - what are my limits?
I just bought my first 4WD and want to rig it up to be able to tackle some rough terrain. It's a '92 Mitsubishi J-Top Pajero (2.5L Turbo Diesel). It's had its torsion bars twisted to give as much lift as possible but I hear this isn't such a good thing. I'd like to get a set of 'real' tyres to put ...
