Re: POST UP YOUR ROVERS

Really happy with the performance. It's no animal from the lights but on the highway loaded up it's fantastic. drives like a 3.9 till the boost comes on. One thing i would recommend would be to change the Lucas Distributor to a Scorcher one. When i did that to my Rover SD1 V8 Turbo it made a huge ...

Re:Turbo

I have a 3.9 Rover V8 running a single turbo. Its a T04 which is quite large but it has huge amounts of torque. Two smaller turbos would be perfect. You could also pick up 2 second hand turbos off a Nissan Skyline for not much money and being a later model turbo would probably work alot better. Re: Missus wants a Disco, should i be scared?

Yep to much for it i think.Should be able to find one cheaper then that. As for the tick noise make sure your 100 % sure its the exhaust gasket. Slipped liners can make the same noise.Just read it again and it doesnt run on petrol.I'd honestly wait for a better one.Theres plenty out there in better ...

For a couple of hundred dollars you could put a 3.9 in it and see how it goes.Goes alot better then the 3.5. Its no powerhouse but has alot more then the 3.5

would think just a piper cam and some head work and two inch spacer to lift plenium chamber up on a 9.35:1. would be better and cheaper than laggy turbo. as for supercharged i think it would force to much air into back pots , and i think alloy holden motors where based on rover/buick motors ;) bite ...

I cant believe someone would spend close to $20,000 to twin turbo a rover V8 to make 400HP . My old Holden motor does better that , naturally aspirated on straight LPG . Unbelievable !!! A LS1/2/3 crate engine for $5000 would absolutely eat it !!! Who spent $20,000 on a Rover Turbo conversion? I ...

Your ignition module might be playing up.Those are the symptoms usually associated with it when it plays up.Could be your coil as well.Sounds as though it just loses spark somewhere.Have you checked all your connections to make sure none are loose?
