Howdy All,
I actively assisted with 4x4 TV and am happy to say that I am continuing to support Simon and 4WD TV.
Can't wait...4WD TV is going to be awesome. Bonus is I will no longer be forced to watch Home and Away by my better half!

Howdy All,
We were up filming for 4WD TV in Melbourne (Jason and Jane).
Just wanna say a HUGE thanks to all involved for such a great weekend and also for your massive support of 4WD TV. We are working insanely hard to bring out the best show possible and with footage from PUOSU, the Vic ...

The truck is getting there slowly but surely! Going to be doing a bit of serious work to the back end soon, so I thought I'd find out if anyone had done this type of work to see if it's worthwhile before trying to jump into it myself.
How's your lux coming along?

Hey Nick, have you got any pics of the work you did? That is exactly what I am talking about. What sort of materials did you use to extend the chassis and how did you fasten it? eg, weld and tapped?
Mudtoy, that is a good point, but one I think we could work around It would be a good opportunity ...

Howdy all,
Just wondering, does anyone have experience with extending the rear of a 40 series Landcruiser chassis to increase wheelbase? Is this a realistic option when doing SPOA, 60 series diff/spring conversion?
What are the engineering cert and registration issues/problems associated with ...

Hey Dave,
Check out www.ebay.com.au. Under automotive parts section. There is a guy on there that sells high-torque starters brand new for around $190. He also has a bunch of other cheap new performance parts. I was thinking about trying one on my chev when the starter gives up (starting to sound ...

Going from memory (a while back) the only thing you need to put on fibreglass parts is flexi-add, but only if you think the flares will actually have to flex. Spray painters use it on modern bumper bars as part of the prep so when the bars flex on small impacts the paint doesn't crack and stuff up ...

I've got an Impco straight LPG setup on the chev in my FJ40 and want to set up a snorkel soon too.
What I am thinking of doing is getting an adaptor for a quadrajet to mount the 425 at 90degrees off the top of the carb, and run duel fuel again. Should be easy to run a air cleaner box with outlet ...

Heheh...
That's all funny stuff.
I run 35" Radial Claws on my FJ40. They have done 15k onroad kays and a few thousand offroad over the last year and a bit and have worn well. Onroad they are excellent, a bit slippy in the wet, not too noisy and offroad in general they are great. At around ...

I am hoping to do a T700 conversion into my FJ40 with 327 over the next month or so...I'd be really interested to know how the testing goes.
The 327 has a bit of a cam late so this convertor sounds like it would work well with that setup. I will definitely look at getting one. What would ...

After much research into brake pads for my Evo 5 (still an AWD! ) and alot of feedback from car racers I found that Racebrakes in Melbourne (Nth Melbourne, I think...?) make their own pads with a similar compound to what Pagid use (which are the best, and are VERY expensive).
They are supposed ...

Howdy all,
I just had the pleasure of picking up my FJ40 from a mechanic at closing time yesterday (closed now for 3 weeks) to find that the radiator hose was loose (after a radiator flush) on the thermofan temp sender, steering wheel put back on sideways after looking for bad earth and the spare ...

Howdy all,
I currently have a 327 in my 1978 Land Cruiser 40 with the standard 4 speed manual g/box and am considering putting in an Turbo 400. Has anyone done this in their V8 4x4? Are there any issues with the conversion or driving afterwards? Especially on steep declines?
I have also been ...
