you are able to go thru rivers ect no problems

if you were using the winch in the water for a recovery i would when you had some spare have a check to see water did not enter.
We endeavour to do the best we can keep water out,there is a twin lip seal either end of the motor.

if you turn the middle pieces instead of the end plate what will happen is only 1 gear will work

Have you considered mounting the motors one on top of the other with a gear or chain/belt drive conencting them? This would make it a much better length. It would start a good side market for you if you were to sell it as an upgrade along with remote free spool. These items could be clearly sold ...

Thanks for clearing that up paul. In a previous post you said there weren't any spare parts being sold. Have you had any people modding this winch yet? If so what has been the outcome of these mods?

i have done like 10 searches using different key words! i always search first but i cant find anything that will help me. i think i read in one post that its big and will be a tight fit nothing else tho.. so again any help would be nice even if its a link to another post....

There are many sellers of winches on ebay but are looking at buying from someone who sells jewellery as well ,,3 month warranty ,,you should not consider ...

Will be great to see how the new winches perform under pressure.

Does the comp spec winch still have that load limiter device?

Yes ,PATROLAPART & 4X4 DIRECT will be there ,The standard 12000lb will be there and the 9000lb two speed ...

Yes that is correct ,we need to look after the reseller and there prices will be the same so there will be no disadvantage for anyone ...

9 & 12 ARE TWO SPEED WINCHES

what does that mean?

with a sliding ring gear not always will it engage 1st time ,you would need to rock the drum ,,,,so its not 100% engagement

the 12000lb two speed and 10000lb fast recovery will have 100% engagement ,just turn the handle and straight in engage

Just an update regarding the 2 new winches arriving we have manage to complete this in time for this shipment ,,the sliding ring gear for both 12000lb TWO SPEED & 10000LB COMPETITION WINCH will have 100% clutch engagement.
