Alright sweet thanks guys.

Just asking, because I wanna get a split seat for the rear, as I'm taking the 1 piece out of my Dual Cab, and installing a 55L Fridge in there.. But I don't wanna lose all 3 seats, and I wanted to get the little split and leave that in there on one side.

Split Seats - 4Runner or Surf?

Did any of the later 4Runners or Surfs come out with split rear seats?

I seen some on the net, and I was wondering if they're out in Aus models, and if they'd fit or can be made to fit in the back of a Dual Cab Hilux.

Cheers

You can order heavy duty inner axle seals off some off-road part sites for around $15 each mate

Just tell them you want the ones for IFS and your utes year model etc and they might be able to help.

I agree the Falcon straight six are one of the toughest petrol engines, and they aren't slow either.

Yeah it's hard to say, sometimes its good sometimes I get in, basically drive around the block and it's down another quarter. I have checked tank and fuel lines for leaks, but I think the only place it's leaking is through the carby and being burnt   Ohwell, I'll just have to suck it up ...

22R Fuel Economy

My 22R is shit with fuel in the Hilux Dual Cab. I use around half a tank for every 200kms... Anyone else can shed some light on this?

I drive it pretty slowly most of the time, but if the traffic situation needs be I'll wind 2nd or 3rd all the way out...

The inner rim will not hit the caliper, but get the offset right as it might hit.

I have different offset Sunraysia 15"s on the back of my Hilux and when I got new tyres fitted they put the backs on the front and the ute wouldn't move because they were hitting the caliper.

Servicing manual gearbox/xfer case Hilux

On an 89 Hilux how do you replace oils in gearbox, xfer case and diffs?

If anyone has done this or has pics and tips on how to do this that would be sweet

Hilux Keeps Blowing Headlight Fuse

My right headlight fuse keeps blowing, and then my headlight still works but is a very dull orange colour.

I keep replacing the fuse, it lasts about an hour then blows. Any reasons why this might be happening?

Thanks

Tips for making Petrol Hilux more water friendly

My 89 Hilux has been through a bit of water, but usually it gets water in either the sparkplugs, dizzy or somewhere else lol. But yeah, after I go through water it idles roughly and splutters a bit so I have to rev it for about a minute before it gets back to normal. How can I make it more water ...

Exactley right.

You can have a 1000hp twin turbo V8 as long as it's a diesel while you're on your P's.

22R - What oil does it use? - N00b question

I've only had the Hilux with 22R for about 3 weeks and I'm still waiting for my workshop manual to come in the mail.

So far my Lux hasn't burnt or leaked any oil, but I wanna see if it needs a top up..

What sort of oil does it use?

This may be of help....

Solid Axle Suspesion:

IFS:

I hear alot of Hilux/4Runner owners may have alot of CV shafts and CV boots constantly breaking when offroad when they have IFS, but I'm no expert.

Why get a diesel over a petrol^^^(Just curious)Coz my mates got a 2.8L diesel and its a next to usless as its got no power to go up rock steps and get out off trouble. I dunno about that, but I love my petrol Hilux.. And it gets going in traffic pretty quick. Also goes good off road, climbs most ...
