Yep, did that.
Have now tried 2 seals myself one aftermaket and a genuine.
Have had a 4wd workshop try it as well.
Almost to the point of just grabbing another transfer case and chucking it. They are cheap as chips.

Transfer case rear seal leak
Morning all, Just been having some issues with a GQ transfer case rear seal. Have tried 2 different seals and it still leaks. Putting the transfer into 4wd makes the leak worse. Could it be 2 dicky seals? they were both aftermarket seals or could the transfer case be pressurising? I have ordered a ...

thanks guys red book sorted it out the engineer wants the GMV of the car the engines coming out of to be not less than 120kg than the car its going into. I had the figure for the vy one tonner as 2826 which was correct but the figure i had for the 2.8 gu was at 2960 but the redbook had it back down ...
