Just did rd28 to td42 conversion in my gu .hooking the glow plugs up through a push button on dash with inline 35 amp fuse every time I push the button the fuse blows is the fuse big enough and should it go through a rely

The rear lsd should be fine it will be more beneficial to go front locker and tighten the lsd (re/shim ) if required it wont let you down

turbo deisel problem
i have a MQ patrol with sd 33t motor.Just installed boost gauge and adjustable boost controller when i start it up the boost gauge is showing no boost or no vacumm could the wastegate actuator be stuffed or sticking .Any ideas cheers col

for people who want to know or to put in your memory bank GQ patrol clutch (275)diamater is exactlly same part number as MQ turbo desiel SD33T so problem solved

Patrol clutch question
I have a mq patrol with sd33 desiel motor .I am changing over to sd33t turbo desiel .Sd33 clutch is 240mm sd33t is 275 is this 275mm same as gq or could i swap flywheels and use 240mm clutch .What would be the repercusions as i have 2 flywheels and 2 spare clutches.

Mate .In the left hand side inner gaurd (inside engine bay ) there is a little brown module about 1 inch high 1 inch wide and about 1/2 inch thick .It has a wiring connector on it with 2 wires.It is a tacho condensor only available from nissan .Solved all my problems with same symptoms so cheap i ...

mate are u running gq front and rear calipers.I was running gq fronts on the rear of mine had exactly the same problem piston was to big master cylinder would not push enough fluid changed to smaller piston calipers on rear all good perfect pedal was starting to worry as well with tt looming just ...

A bit nervous now with night drive on friday with nowhere like millbrodale to test truck just have to wing it .test drive yesterday with 39,s on sweet as but exploded lh cv without locker cant wait to get locker fitted and go for another test.other than that everything else was bloody awsome cant wait

Hey mate you got stuck;wheres the pictures.sounds like throw out bearing maybe got water in it.Housing may have water in it when it heats up dries water out in bearing when cooling upon shutdown maybe condensating back into bearing .Good luck let me know how you get on. battery isolater problem
Have a daul battery set-up with volt meter on second battery.Isolator keeps clicking on then off when car is running.Gauge reads 0 then 14 volts for 5 seconds then back to 0.This happens about every 5 seconds.System is 2 years old had no other trouble till now.CHEERS

happened to my 4.2 petrol.turned out to be loose rivets in pressure plate. pulled it out.tightened them up with punch and hammer.that was 4 years ago.problem fixed and still going hard with same clutch

A mate of mine just gave me a brand new 5 point harness still in box unused.
he said he couldnt use it for speedway as it was out of date. How do i stand running this belt in our style of comps.

Hey mate mine was doing the same .changed dizzy cap problem solved also running pertronics ignition.As for carby the place to go is re-carb on the sunny coast they do rebuilt -exchange ones good luck
