the air locker have 2 viton O-rings that run on one of the bearing spigots, this is where the air is transfered into the carrier to activate the locking mechanism.

An O-ring is not designed to be a radial seal where a shaft turns inside it, this is why I prefer ...

a bigger diff, and a locker to suit that bigger diff should be considered. usually people try go for high horespower, shit gearing, and stock diffs, won't work.

well, i do believe when the pro locker came out all thier selling points were just baggin the air locker.
jac mac's biggest selling point was they used vacuum, so when tjm go to compressed air why is it better? they still have a seal seperating the oil from air.

just get another pro locker. that one piece rod used to be a real problem. i have a workmate who used to work for TJM in the actual factory thing and he said steer clear because that shaft was a weak point.

The Pro locker also uses a one piece cross shaft (better & stronger), whereas the ARB has a three piece design.
The actuating cage cage inside the ARB's hemispere is plastic and cracks with time, they are cheap but require a complete strip down to replace. The Pro Lockers has hardened steel posts ...

You wont notice that effect (gas pushing down) but nice theory. The rebound from the springs is much faster than the gas cares to expand and the coil will still be pushing out against the shock.

Gas are a bit stiffer than oil/hydraulic and so you get a slightly sportier stiffer ride. Landrover ...

WOULD NOT be driving a coil sprung vehicle without shocks! might get away with it on leaves because they are about %75 self dampening, wouldn't try it on coils. :?
