Re: gq speedo not working

It could also be the drive gear in the TX case, or the sender in the TX case. The cog on the sender and in the TX case are either a fibre or nylon and if there has been any water in it then it may be damaged.

You did not indicate which your preference was in the previous email. Please let me know if these are correct and we can ...

There is a bracket welded to the back side of main support bracket that is bolted to the floor. Best bet is to take it out and have a look, compare it to the passenger side one.

Re: tb42e airbox

I have used an EL/EF air box with minimal mods to get it to fit. These airboxes have a higher flow rate than the commodore one. Get yourself a K&N filter and you'll have better flow than the original. Also with it mounted behind the charcol canister/where the original box was you can route flexi ...

Re: brakes

I'm no expert, and I may be wrong but.......you can go to an twin piston caliper on the front and change to discs on the rear. While you're at it change to slotted discs too. After you've done this you should look at your trailer and sort out a good braking set up for it. This will get the trailer ...

In my experience you would break CV's quicker in an unlocked truck due to what toughnut has mentioned. With a locked front end, you shouldn't have the same issues. In saying that nothing is unbreakable!!

Re: Is there any difference in manual boxes

The gearboxes (FS5R50B) are the same on the TB45, TD42, TD42T, and 3.0L engine patrol's, apart from small variances in gear ratio's. Ie some have 4.262:1 first gear others have 4.556:1 See this page for details http://www.grungle.com/specifications.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false ...

To check your caster is right you will need to compare the angle of the flange plate on the transfer case, either to the rear or the front, to the flange on the diff itself they should be the same to eleminiate driveline issues.

The stock GQ efi boxes are hard to find an when you do the go for stupid money. The benefit of the el box is larger inlet and outlets = better flow.
