Yeah i have done some mods to a high mount spool before ie made it longer etc and increased the inner drum thickness soo it doesn't crush. But i didn't see end product as i was just the machinist. But i think the winch was a bit of a thomas/warn combo. So do like the idea of of the high mount ...
