gu td42t injector pump would be cheapest best pump, runs a bigger plunger than a gq pump plus has a boost compensator so it wont be as smokey and more fuel economic, u can pick them up cheap if u shop around and can be cheaper than rebuilding a gq pump

i had the same issue sunday night, stab the clutch and it would slip, so i jumped under and adlusted the pedal, still not perfect but better, monday was fine not a problem, have a brand new slave on mine also

thing is it worked perfectly fine for months then started playing up

can run power strait to back of stalk plug and they work, have also tried other stalks

can someone give me a quick run through? I have fully rebuilt my engine, and am about to fit a gu pump and id like to do it myself, so u set engine to tdc, fit pump tool, set to .74 and rotate engine to see how far it drops off tdc?

i wouldnt spend any money on a gq pump, if you get onto the right people they are cheap as chips, i picked up a gu pump with bigger plunger and boost compensator for less than 900

use petrol loom. really easy, strip all your wires out from coil except for a white with black stripe(use for fuel cutoff on injector pump) and the blue wire that turns into yellow with black stripe, workshop manual makes it easy, use a diesel glow relay, just wire it up to a push button, temp ...

hey guys just picked up a gu td42t pump today gor my gq, just after a fer things such as where to run boost compensator line from, and if anyone can run me through pump timing or if it is best left to a shop?

fuel is everything, u run boost to get the right fuel mixture, more boost keeps egts down by running a leaner mix which allows u to screw more fuel into it, boost is not making hp, the fuel it lets u put in is

mine makes 13psi with the tee in the actuator hose, dont know how much fuel iv screwed up as cover was off pump, just tuned it to pyro, tickles 550 on my road which is 6 kms of steep climbing, i do think the turbo is to big, but i do like high rpms really

i have this kit on my shorty, good bang for buck really, mine makes over 10 pound, but have added a turbosmart boost tee, sounds like u have a boost leak

bought another td42 tody thats been hydrod, number 4 rod is doglegged as, whats the chances of the crank bein shagged? and the chance of more than 1 bent rod? apart from 4 they all look strait

yea if your getting a really loud knock could be ya crank hittin ya sump, taki it off and bash where its shiny, bottom end bearings (rod bearings) are easy, could just wip ya sump off and bang a new set in in a few hours

easy as, just unplug everything atatched to the motor, unbolt it and lift it out, plus pull the radiator out to, not hard at all

not trying to bum out your day mate but id have the head crack tested aswell, im building a td42 atm and the head has 4 cracks, each one from the pre combustion chamber to the exhaust valves, and will give the same affect as a gasket, sorry mate cant help witha mechanic as im in vic but good luck
