Hi Matt, I'll have a look tommorow at work for you i've got some notes somewhere that should show which way they go. The pickup out puts an AC wave form which when reversed alters the firing posiiton of the module which is why you have to reset the timing after changing the wires. From memory the ...

Geez Brad that's a weird one! Firstly yes, I am running a BIM024 ignition module which is brand new. If I reversed the pickup wire +/- the car would run on maybe 4 cylinders..but not really... It wouldn't be anywhere near drivable that's for sure.. Sorry should have clarified, when you reverse the ...

I have seen this a couple of times, if your using a BIM024 module and you reverse the pick up wires to the module you get a high RPM miss, The original wiring has 2 different sized terminals so this can't happen. When you extend the wiring and use standard blades it's impossible to tell which way ...

I just gave Mal at maxi drive a ring to ask about the differences in the ball joints and if i could have been maxing out its flex. He said that the cracks are usually caused not from over extending the ball joint A frame, but more the rotational forces through the diff (i guess from adding lockers ...

Cracked A frame mount
Just got back from a weekend at Janowen hills and was checking out another new oil leak and saw this http://users.tpg.com.au/whyteboy/broken/cracks.jpg The welds are cracked, the A frame is the only part of the rear suspension that hasn't been changed. Mainly because i'm unsure what to do with it. I ...

It's a 180 holley they were made under licence to weber (basically a copy of the 32/36), they use a different shape air cleaner base and have a sligltly smaller fuel bowl etc. The main components are interchangeable but the gaskets are different. The throttle also pulls from the opposite direction ...

Start by taking the coil lead of the distributor cap and put a screw driver in the end, and sit it on the tappet cover so the spark has to jump from the shaft to the cover at least 10mm. Watch this while cranking it over make sure you have good consistant spark. If you don't put a test light across ...

VN V8s have an ignition module they are a silver box originally mounted on the guard. We sell quite a few of them, they can also cause coil failure, if your coil is cracked badly you should get your module checked.

Sliders
Hi,
I'm looking at getting some sliders for the rangie, i've seen the post on the haultech ones which rivet onto the body, is there any advantage in the chassis mounted ones? strength etc.
thanks,
Brad

I just finished the toyo conversion and moving the dampner, i got the kit from maxi drive, you need to upgrade to the heavy duty draglink and fit a defender dampner. The pics are from a phone camera so the quality is ordinary http://www.injectacarb.com.au/brad/dampner1.jpg http://www.injectacarb.com ...

Toyota conversion problem
hi, i'm doing the toyota centre conversion on my 77 Range Rover, the rear diff went together no problems, but the front stubs won't bolt up to the diff. There is a 2mm gap on one side and a 3mm gap on the other. Initially the stubs were incorrrectly machined, this has been fixed and has helped but ...
