Re: Profender Coil overs???

Never used them, never run them. Seen guys run and TRY tune them. I'd buy FOX or KINGS. I've seen people try and drive a rock crawler too but can't. Is that the rock crawlers fault or theirs?? Profenders aren't marketed as a shock that can compete with the top of the line Fox or Kings but are ...

Re: Plumbing brakes on a truggy

Well I think flicking a switch would be easier than grabbing and holding a lever while digging. Also makes more room in the cab area as less levers = more space.

Re: Plumbing brakes on a truggy

The master cylinder on these hydro handbrakes are just a landrover series 2A master cylinder. I had one off these running off a large dia. air cylinder for "Air over hydro" cutting brakes for front digs. Easier than looking for a leaver.

Re: Hilux diff upgrade cruiser diffs or Hilux wide track

You can graft a landcruiser center section onto IFS wide track tubes as the centers are all 30 spline except for 100 series. Then put an 80 series front in.

I'm sure that all the LN106 doors are the same - single cab, dual cab, surf of that shape. Only the gen 1 hilux's doors were different between the single and dual.

Moglux, Don't know where you got your price from for a mega high 9, but you could sell a lot of them from that price but there web site says Complete Mega high 9 with spool is $2695 then you got shipping to Australia. http://www.truehi9.com/megahi9.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: 9" VS Nissan = school me please

I wouldn't think so Johnsy but you could have a spare nissan center built Arb Complete center cheaper than a 9" with a spool I'd say. $1200 for locker and $600 mods, $400 new gear set = $2200. Don't think you would get a 9" here for that.....

Re: Setting up some profender struts

I'm sure if you bought them from Superior that they come pre gassed at there recommended pressure. The struts are adjustable so you can set the ride height. Just need a good flat screw driver and hammer I'm sure and make sure the two nuts are locked together.

I had a bolt in RHS 75 x 50 which the bottom link mount were bolted to. It was a bolt in job as it was really close to the twin transfers and needed to be removed if I had to remove the transfer cases.

Re: hilux diff braceing

If ya not going 6 shooters, I'd do a 5th stud or weld in plates to pick up on the steering stops. The way high steer is, it wants to keep pulling up on the studs. I had my arms welded onto the knuckle and still they ripped off. Also if you know someone that is good at machining, you can go bigger ...

Re: 80 series full time to part time

I bought my 105 series with the part time kit in the transfer. I then unplugged the plug on top of the transfer that locks the center diff when I go into low range. Now I can have low range 2wd so I can back the trailer / boat etc without bind in the transfer. I now see that Marks Adaptors are now ...

Re: T/C Adaptor for T700?

If this is not a daily driver, I would go for a LT230 transfer case from a rover. Cheap adaptor is made for about $300 and a case is about $350. It also has a lower ratio low range. You will kill a hilux transfer in no time.

I was looking at the same combo if I was gunna build one. The Gearbox is a A340F. You can get from about $350 +, some people are asking too much. Radesigns over the states do a manual shift for them which is cheap. Ask Buds Customs to see if he could do one up. I think this would be a good combo ...

Never pulled a 80 series front end apart, but is there any reason you can't flip a swivel hub and swap sides to put the steer arm on top??? I can't see why it wouldn't work :?
