Have you checked the oil? How is it running? It should be running like a dog.

I am assuming a carby motor, but a couple of years ago I had a split in the fuel pump diaphragm. The split then allowed fuel to run into the sump, which then bypassed back to the fuel tank. It hadn't done much distance ...

Nissan would have denied the warranty claim on the basis of it "not being a manufacturing fault" I imagine. We all know Nisssan Patrol diffs are competition strong, don't we? I had a worrying five months taking the issue with them from July last year on a 03 Patrol in the extended warranty period ...

Check out the rear coil towers. They have a tendency to push up with weight and speed giving shock to the suspension. They may need reinforcement, or if you do the same, they will. I know of some that have torn the towers out of the chassis. Plated over the top is the best fix, side to side.

Maruti engine, fuel to sump and back to fuel tank

Hi guys, has some fun tracking down a problem with the Maruti/Suze engine and couldn't trace it. We thought the employees had refuelled with a petrol can that had previously had sump oil in it, then we just thought the engine was clagged, well that was the next time :bad-words:

I guess I would have to ask myself though how many holes I would want to cut in the bonnet. Have the intercooler scoop there already. I woudn't mind a bigger one I guess and section part of it to the intercooler and part to engine bay cooling :grab:

Have been tossing around in my head lifting the back of the bonnet to let more hot air out there but have to stop it flowing into the cab air intake. You are right though it does get very hot.

My GU ute has a cool air box around the original battery position, but it all gets hot, hot, hot.

Thanks for the response. Pre and post intercooler inlet pressures

I have been told the inlet air pressure on an intercooled 4.2T diesel is 2-3 psi lower behind the intercooler than before the intercooler. That is of course supposed to be denser air but due to the restriction of the intercooler it is actually lower than is the case before the intercooler - pissy ...

Actually guys there is a lot of adjustment on the bracket once you undo the bolts. I found it made quite a bit of difference between the front/rear braking balance to do it. It had been too much on the front brakes before I adjusted it.

The fronts were locking up and the ute tended to be poor in ...

SootyGU I understood the Beaudesert Exhausts system exhaust has an integral dump pipe, in other words the dump pipe is part of their exhaust - right from the casting of the turbo.

I want to head down the manderel bent path myself soon. Who supplies the least expensive solution?

Guys, has anyone any knowledge of the 3" exhaust that begins at the turbo body rather than have a dump pipe mentioned earlier?

It strikes me that if you can do it then it would be cheaper unless it is just a casting that can stand the temperatures. Beaudeset Exhausts were quoting that way but ...

Had mine plated over the top just recently as the mounts had bent up at 13,500 kms not bad for standard springs and Polyairs . Plates are 12-13mm and bolted using the standard bolt holes. Brake lines are in original bracket but welded under the plate.

Nissan dealer bent them back down for me but ...
