A GQ auto will handle the v8....been there done that. As for bodylift, the car we did it in already had one so not sure if it was required or not...

i run em on my 5inch spring GQ which will be lower soon...i ran them originally on the hardest setting and hated it, they now sit on about 6 or 7 from memory and i like the ride ( no swaybars) i un them on 1 when off road, the only problem i have with them is that i snapped off 2 of the rear ...

Yes but an LS1 is very easy to get power out of, just have a look at the aftermarket for them in Commodores. Imagine what a 383 stroker could do!! only issue i have had with mine is that the vaccum lines pull off at flex limits, but this was fixed with longer lines, they are good little units when they work right, sometimes the solenoids can shit themselves but you can get aftermarket ones for around 150 bucks..do a search on here for factory ...

used to run a 383 holden v8 in the BIL's auto GQ running 37s, was pushing close to 300kw if i remember correctly...only mod he had was a high stall kit in the auto...broke the engine before we broke the car!

i got paranoid last summer and fitted an aftermarket water temp guage, mine will happily sit on about 82-84dec C during normal running, pushing it hard whilst wheeling it can climb upto 90-95 but it comes down quickly when just idling...in summer when its 35+ it gets a bit hotter but always cools ...
