I'm having trouble my 33's rubbing, rear only, with a 4 inch lift. Looking for a remedy now, but 35's fitted easy... I can only suggest what I got suggested and do the offset rims, but you still may have trouble wit rubbing.

GU Rear scrubbing

G'day, Just thought I'd ask some alternatives... Got a 4 inch lift with 33's, found I'm getting major scrubbing on the inside of the left and right rear wheel arches.
Mates said only way to avoid that is a bigger offset rim or a (crappy - not a fan) body lift.
Anyone got any other ideas?

Yeah... its not good for it
especially if you are in 4wd it'll wind up the transfer
If its out of 4wd then you just chew more fuel... at least I think I've never done it...
Why do you ask?

Sheared axle studs

How common is it to shear axle studs in a HJ60 and is there anyway to prevent it happening again? I sheared the studs and two dowels the other day doing simple driving... Can you get stronger studs or anything along those lines?

I'm doing a body lift for my 60
Just wondering wether every bolt can be assumed the same and extended 2 inches
Or if I would have to measure every one...
Any replies would be good...

I've heard that it is a common problem - the 5th gear gets worn because it was an add on to the original box
If not fixed it has a tendency to actually fall out and float around the box
Thats heresay though

I'm with them - if your happy with the 4runner then keep it
Its much of a muchness either way
But as the guys said - 4runner would be more comfortable
And if you don't want to do anything "Tuff"
Why SAS it? Independant is heaps nicer on the road - 'Specially if thats the most driving time

Get up and go or low down torque

Either's good for offroad work - Just diesal's won't die on ya
got 420000kms on my clock and the old 2H is still goin'

Just to get off the track Daryl the low oil pressure happens - It should stall if you are on an angle or even flat - If its cold - The engines have a long stroke so the oil drains to the bottom of the tank once the oil's warm though it should run like a dream (apparently its a typical 60 problem) If ...

You just gotta go light mate
Anything over 2 tonne is to heavy for the sand your goin' in
I've lived over there
The four runners all right - 'specially with a turbo
They're also heaps easy to do up
And I will admit - mabey I can't drive on the sand
