Re: Turbo 1hz

Jesus mate I'm shuddering right now, have a read of my thread I put on a couple of weeks ago- injector pump causing overheating. Make sure your fuel system is tip top b4 turboing. I've been chasing temp and fuel issues since January when I turboed my 330k 1hz, all up for what I've spent I could've ...

Re: 1hz waterpump

Na bottom hose and thermostat housing was pretty cold, yet the block right next to the therm housing was roasting. When I got home from the hot laps last night there was no pressure in the system, gauge was at running temp and had been for half an hour, and the heater didn't seem to be quite as hot ...

1hz waterpump

Hey all, just wondering if there's a test you can do on a waterpump before pulling it out? Warmed up I can't see much movement in the filler neck of the radiator, even with revs. Tested thermostat on the stove, radiator only 12 mths old and still can't seem to get the bottom hose hot. Overheating on ...

Also I dunno why it pushes water past new hoses and hose clamps but not past the cap into the bottle, which stays at the same level.

Overpressured cooling system 1HZ

Hey all, noticed a leak from top tank on my 6mth old radiator yesty (75s 1HZ), unhappily pulled it out to be fixed and noticed top tank is bowed and distorted. Also when i was under it noticed the old girl is leaking coolant from almost every hose (which were all new 6mths ago aswell). Was about to ...

Our 1hz 100s wouldnt start one day out of the blue, would just crank and not fire at all, after half a day of testing shit in the driveway as a last resort i pulled the glow plugs out and tested them on the ground. All 6 didnt even get warm. Fitted newies and away she went. I spoke to a diesel ...

80 TJM roof rack on a Troopy

Hey all, just wanting to know if anyone has ever fitted an 80 series roofrack to a 75 series troopy? Are they compatible? The rack i'm looking at buying is a TJM full length off an 80. Main concern is the roof height on the troopy being to far north of the rain gutter.

X2 on the uni's idea. Sounds like cluth shudder symptoms but hearing its only started since the mount and cross member swap i'd be checking uni's. If the gearbox is sitting lower now then uni's will be running at differnt angles...

On road, they seem to handle as good as the BFGs did, off road they seem good too, alot stronger looking in the sidewall dept than the BFGs.

Re: BFG's vs CLAWS

The claws are radials, would you say they would have the same onroad characteristics as the KM1's? reason for that is i only run one set of tyres for everything, and dont want to buy the claws if they're going to be noisy as buggery as i use the car for work, play and touring.

BFG's vs CLAWS

Hi All, Just after a comparison between BFG KM Muds and Mickey Thompson Claws in relation to road noise, onroad handling and offroad performance. I have always run BF's but am now being tempted by a set of claws that i know of for sale.

Re: Troopy rear seats

Sounds promising, looking at buying a 93 3 seater which has a false floor with drawers in the rear, but am hoping its not too major of a job to shorten the drawers and fit a rear bench to bung the toddler in. Its only rego'd as a 3 seater so will most probably have to look at getting it engineered.

IMO service history is the thing to go by, if its been looked after, k's to an extent shouldn't be an issue. I recently bought my missus a 99 gxl 105 diesel which has done 270k and it still has original diffs, gearbox, pump, injectors ect ect, and it drives like a new 1. Only had alloy bar and ...

Does your 4runner have a center diff lock, same set up as a 80? Is that problem just due to the rear diff lock's operation or is it a result of combining a rear auto locker with a center diff? cheers.
