Re: Panhard issues - need some advice!

Thanks for the replies. Ok, so basically it's a top down view, and the chassis and diff mounts aren't aligned straight, so the chassis mount is further forward than the diff. To move the chassis mount back is impossible as the steering arms get in the way. To move the diff mount forward is possible ...

Panhard issues - need some advice!

Got a hilux with custom SAS conversion. The front panhard bushes were worn, so I pulled the panhard out, thinking that it would be a matter of simply putting in new bushes - boy was I wrong! The reason the bushes have worn is because the panhard has been put in at an angle. I've got some simple ...

New 4wd with mods - need advice, a mechanic and engineer

I've just purchased a new 4wd that's had and SAS done and i've got a couple of issues. Basically I want to find a mechanic that has experience with such conversions but that is reasonable - can anyone suggest one? It also needs to be engineered. Apparently it was built to an engineer's specs ...

Dodgy Hilux Brakes

My 2000 hilux's brakes suck big time! I'm running 35s, so I expect them not to be great, but they are seriously awful! Any thoughts on what could make them better? Pads have plenty of life left, but would a different compound work? Or can you adjust something on the brake booster (is that the right ...

SAS'd 2000 SR5 Hilux

I've been looking at a hilux for sale which has had an SAS conversion done, using a 60 series front diff. Just wondering what the differences in wheel track might be between the two diffs if anyone knows? Will I need wheel spacers on the rear wheels potentially?

Patrol Diffs under Paj?

I'm just curious - i've never seen patrol diffs considered for SAS use under a pajero? Is there any reason for this? Would patrol diffs work?

Rims - help please

Hi, i know this has kinda been covered before, but I just want some more specific help. I'm trying to source a new rim for my spare tyre. At the moment i've got sunnies which say 8JJx15 and then i can just make out 52 next to this. Do i assume this is the offset?? Does 52 seem strange?? And please ...

none! I'm in the same position and apparently the only option is to swap the 7.25" diff in ours for the 8" diff found in every other model, then look at lockers.

Fitting 4M41 DiD to NH Pajero

I'm just curious to know how hard this would be and whether anyone knows of it being done before. I want to put the 3.2 diesel and gearbox from an NM pajero into my NH petrol pajero. Can this be done? Has it been done?

Need a mechanic

I've gotta get a couple of things done on my car and I'm looking for somewhere than can do it all in one go. I need to get a pink slip (and a partial blue slip for an engine number change), my transfer lever bent and my bullbar welded to raise the height to match my body lift. Anyone know and ...

I'm trying to remove my air compressor from my car and the air lines go through the floor of the vehicle. Where is the sender switch for the oil pressure? I've just done an engine swap, so i'm guessing it's something i've forgotton to reconnect?

With the speedo, the odometer still works normally, so is it definately the speedo cable?

NH Pajero Questions - Oil Gauge, Dash Light, Speedo

Couple of questions. My oil pressure gauge is not working at all. What could be causing this? When driving, the speedo bounces up and down. Only just started doing this. Tonight, a light came on the dash, kinda like (!) - what does this mean? If anyone can help with these problems, then that'd be ...

Blue-slipping and modifications

I've basically got two questions about reregistering my car in NSW. First, if i put a replacement engine in my car, do I need to get a blue slip or can I just get a pink slip? Second, if I do need to get a blue slip, will i be able to get one if my truck has modifications (lift, bigger tyres, etc ...

The seat is removed - it's the hole in the bottom of the seat. What do you mean drill and easy out? I've tried drilling through the centre of the bolt with no luck - it just wont drill down.

NJ Power Mirrors

Just noticed my power mirrors aren't working both left and right. What could this be? I'm thinking the switch/control unit in the dash, but could it be something else? I can't see a fuse for the power mirrors, does anyone know which one it would be grouped with? Any help would be much appreciated.
