Grave digging an old thread

I would expect the vitara ecu has the right outputs to drive the jimny auto ecu . I have a baleno engine driving a vitara auto good as gold so one would assume they are generic outputs , water temp and throttle position

Hi Chris,
Yep still looking for answers ...

End result = 4 Speed Auto, Vitara 1600 EFI and a complete jackshaft in a swb sierra

Sounds like a nice plan but 2 questions;
1/ how would you control the electronic shift of Jimny Auto unless you use a Jimny ECU and the Jimny engine sensors on a Vitara motor (or just use the Baleno/Cultas ...

Re: 00 Jimny Coil 30mm Spacers + Muddy Questions

In my completely unprofessional opinion....

Q1) Is there anything that will make it hard to simply put these in. Literally just undo shocks then use jacks to flex and put in? this simple or??
Basically yes... axle stands on the chassis rails just behind the trailing arms and trolley jack under ...

The brake lines worked out at about NZ$40 each.
The ones that definitely need to be lengthened are the 2 that go from the firewall to the chassis and the left front that goes from the inner guard to the chassis and then the calliper.
I choose to get the other 2 lengthened as well to allow for a ...

I tried to use a Samurai lift kit and ended up with issues....
Only 4 of the internally threaded sleeve bolts (M10 fine?) would fit,
I was missing the 2 larger internally threaded sleeve bolts (M12 fine?) which fit behind the front seats,
The extra long bolts for the front mounts were too short
And ...

You are correct Yakuza, what I have described is for fitting a SJ / Sami transfer into a Jimny (and probably the Coily Sami as well as I think they use a similar transfer box to the Jimny and probably the same speedo sensor).

With the Baleno engine (while still in a Baleno) how does it get a speed ...

Denby thats fantastic, ive been trying to find a pole wheel suitable for this use for a while, looks like you found one thats optimal.

I would have liked to use one that was smaller in diameter but then the depth of the tooth became quite shallow... and will a shallow tooth still trigger the ...

Any pics of yours?

I need to buy/make something like this, mines been sitting on the back burner for a few months.

The 26L075 toothed belt gear as purchased
I used a 26 tooth gear to replace the 25 tooth original gear to correct my speedo. The site I linked to in a earlier post gives suggested ...

I used a machinery toothed timing belt gear (a #26L075F from any good bearing, chain and sprocket supplier) when putting a SJ410K 3.05:1 box into my Jimny and had it machined to fit the rear output flange (basically where the hand brake was mounted).

However, about 20 minutes ago I checked the ...

How rare is the 3.05:1 low ratio SJ410 transfer box?

I am curious to know more about the 3.05:1 transfer box from the SJ410 and was hoping for more info from the Gurus here.

From what I can tell it was an option on the SJ410K long wheel base pickup and possibly also used in the SJ30 (Japanese 540cc version of the 410).

Can anybody confirm this ...

Do you know how the install went and if the Jimny auto has lasted?

Also, what type of driving does he use it for, road, desert, mud or something else ...
