Re: suicide door on gq patrol.

Damage one bad enough so that it won't close and its a big problem.

Normal door will be pushed shut when brushing a tree (moving forwards), whereas this would either jam against tree or rip off.

Re: Battery chargers & fridges

Am I missing something?

WHy can't you just plug your fridge into the 240 when you put the car in the garage each night. It's just as easy as connecting a battery charger up each night. :?

The fridge is in a steel cage on the back of the ute, which makes accessing the plug a pain. The charger ...

Battery chargers & fridges

Coming into summer and with my short commute to work, my second battery/s is going to be coping a hiding from the fridge that lives on the back of the ute (waeco CF50).

Currently I have a factory starting battery (which I think is on the way out) and a pair of big cat batteries in parallel under ...

I now have a 6hp motor on mine, just had to buy the splined gear.

However, you need to measure the position of the gear, and pin the motor shaft to prevent the gear from falling off, as there is no retaining device from the factory.

That depends if you are running an air free spool that is just an actuator on the 8274 lever, leaving the gearbox still running with the drum, or go for a drum disconnect.

I run the older style and find it great, both on my old zuk and now on my gu.

Increased linespeed will decrease the pull on the rope - you'll be less likely to snap the rope with the same given motor when running higher linespeed gears.

Yep, but the fact is that you have two 12 volt 6HP motors being fed 24 volts. That sort of power from the motors can make sort work of a ...

Quick question for you all.

What amount of force are the actuators used in these applications?

Looking to keep it compact, so a short stroke actuator that will apply 90kg dynamic force. Do you think this will be sufficient?

It all depends on how you have the relay wired.

When I had my zuk, I had the relays earth through the factory loom high beam. This will work for your situation, but to get the led to work, you will need to run power to the positive on the switch and back to the switch pin on the relay.

The relay ...

I believe the problem is that only the master is able to input and change info.

You get an error due to the conflict in serial numbers ...

I ran a halogen low, hid high in my sierra in narva inserts, hid was great, but it was a real pain when you dipped back to low, as these proved to be worse than a standard sealed beam.

I'd lean towards a H4 conversion before HID if I had my time again. +80% globes and upgraded loom.
