its an easy enuf job to do your self if you have a press, or pull the arms and take them to the local mech, and he might do it for a carton or something. chris. I wish i knew your mechanic. Took my arms to mechanic today to have bushes pressed out and in. I removed arms, and supplied new bushes ...

thanks all does any one know the ome they run on mines a 92 carby,gq im making my own tanks and want to use the orignal gage on the dash but the tank is only 200mm deep, can i simply bend / adjust the flote and cut the pick up to length? or buy a ome mached sender at the depth i need? thanks chris,

ok so found out today
that copper is better as aloy cant be fixed and copper can be fixed on side of road etc if need be, like stoping a pipe leaking/ fold it over use lead to plug etc.

you lot think this is a good point.

hello all am going to the snow soon in my carby 4.2 gq (tb42) is dule fuel and was wondering what preperation i should make with the gas system as this is my first gas car?

-anti freeze/boil

is all i have done, is there anything else so this trip dosent end bad?

I say give it a go if it f#@#ks up
Just fill the holes in with expander foam
Then use a belt sander to smooth it off and some two pack paint
To seal it think of the look you could have.

had one of them for years......does limited and shitefull bends! Totally true. Is hugely improved with a proper Dawn die but still fairly limited. Can get easy 90 degree bends with the Dawn but it is a wide radius compared to a real tube bender. Without the Dawn I get a pimpin' 22 degrees before it ...

The magnetic one (1762) is harder to fit and you don’t need to adjust the timing

And the 1762ls bolts in and you still need to adjust timing

If this is correct than witch one is better
