Doing the same thing atm but into a 105series. A 7mm spacer is what i've used and that is giving me maybe half a mm of play if thats any help to you

Think I've come up with a solution. Using 80series longs which the cv's are 7mm longer than the std 105series yota ones, there seem to be enough room in the end of the free wheel hub to accommodate the extra length but this still allow for alot of float between the circlip and stub axle if just ...

if you are breaking a lot of them, then Longs might be the most economical with or without warranty. be careful of cheap shit ones, I ended up with a lot of of damage to an axle, spindle etc after blowing a cheapy Thats what i've done this time, stuffed the whole corner. go genuine then Broke both genuine one's already and that makes 6, 80/105 series genuine cv in the last 3 years between 2 cars. Been using el cheapo 1's with reasonable success 4 the price but wanna bullet proof it as the 105 is our tourer/daily. And 2 yota cv is roughly the same price as longs ...

105 series CV's

Who make a quality aftermarket CV/Axle sets to suit a late model 105 series? Longfields are 7mm to long in the CV length and cutting them void the warranty so I'm not spending the money and not getting thier warranty.

They earth out by the bracket they bolt on with. It needs to be a good connection. Pays to bolt em down. How do I know, chased this problem for a few weeks myself b4 finding it by chance :lol:

OE is $72.65 for a bloody filter, just did mine last week. An absolute PITA to change especially to get the bolt closest to the engine block back in. Lot's of deep breaths ;)
