Re: Welder advice (high end)
I will start by saying that I am not a welder... but we have boily's at work and a number of welders on site. About 50% of our workshop work is welding. Most of our machines are Weldmac 395S. From my point of view (purchasing) these are a good machine, we have almost zero down time from machine ...

Where I work, the engineers in the factory cut big holes into chassis webs to reduce the tare weight. Super light weight skels. Not long after they had to replace all the customers chassis' as they started to snap in half going down the highway.

We use the smaller blades for cutting ally. One guy didn't think and had it kick back into his shoulder. Plenty of blood and lots of stitches. Otherwise they are an awesome piece of gear.

I've got a 3" kit from Superior in mine. Very happy with it. Where I work I can get parts from Carrolls Springs (EFS) at trade price and the price difference is huge. I will say though when I bought the kit I was working elsewhere and the technical knowledge fom Superior gtting the right spring ...

I have a pair of 4000's. Was very happy with them with halogen bulbs, but changed to hid's. From the mazda site, towing unbraked is 500kg, braked 700kg. That is the current model but I don't think it would vary too much.

I ran 11psi with a 2 1/2 inch straight through exhaust. After fitting I got the injector pump rebuilt with a fuel anaeroid (sp?) just went with what the shop said. Kept it for several years, probably about 100,000klm after fitting, lots of 4wding, lots of highway never had an issue, always ran great.

Delivery in Brisbane would be $45, I could ask for a price to the sunny coast.
