I got it going. But don't know what had stopped it?
What would cause the EFI fuse to blow? Funny fuel pump?
Funny relay.
Something must have caused the fuse to blow in the first place. Bit stumped... Defiantly don't think the issue is solved. If it happens again or I solve it. Will post solution ...

Re: Blown EFI fuse 93 Toyota 80series?
More information..
The first time it stopped. It felt like it had lost power. Then sort of cough and died. It would crank over fine. I was running on LPG. When it would not start on petrol. I checked the fuses and found the EFI fuse blown.
Obviously something caused the fuse to go?

Hi all,

Re: 80 series diff bracing? Melbourne?
Thanks for the replies. I had seen the superior engineering kit. Looks pretty good for the the price. I have spoken to Cam at Cammo Offroad. Just need to pull the diff out of the car and strip it down now.

Mine appear to be leaking a bit of oil. Might have to find another housing
Buy the marlin crawler HD seals and you will never have to worry about leaking hubs again.

Re: cracked front mounts
Mines just done the exact same thing. Thinking of stripping the diff and getting a superior diff brace kit. Will need to make sure housing is not bent. I am blaming the iron man adjustable caster bushes. Found a few pic.s of broken RHS side radius arm mounts. Maybe it is a bit common. Mine appear to ...

Re: 80 series headlight problem only high beams work?
It was the Globes, all four! Well the two park globes and the low beams in the outer headlights. Thinking may have got a voltage stike or something. Check the alternator 14.5 volt output. Drove around all xmas hols without a drama. Just don't understand how all globes could go at once

Re: 80 series headlight problem only high beams work?
Not that silly. Will check. Sometimes you forget to check the simple things and just assume they couldn't all go at once. So I will check to be sure. Thanks.McLarryBob wrote:Are the globes blown..?
Maybe it's something silly like that.

80 series headlight problem only high beams work?
Had a bit of problem over the weekend. My headlights stopped working!
Only my high beam flash function and (push forward high beams stay on worked). So no park lights or normal lights.
I checked the fuses etc but think it is in the headlight control stalk. When I turn the lights on the dashlights ...

Before that i had bosch which were a lot cheaper (used mates trade account) cant remember what they cost. But snapped in half when trying to remove them from the plugs after only 10,000ks (to ...

Open centre diffs are pretty easy to come across. If you are talking about the 4wd systems lokka, pretty sure they now do it to suit LSD hemisphere.
Otherwise just buy detroit style/brand (pretty much same thing) also pretty sure they do to suit LSD centre probably get a good deal if you buy from ...

waeco cf 80 power use question when using 240 volt.
When using 240 volt power in the house my 80 litre waeco seems to run all the time. It is the new or current model with auto turbo built in (no button for it)
I think that with the varable speed compressor (when on 240 volt) it will run at low speed to avoid stop/starting all the time. I found ...

Garmin gps turning itself off (seems to near speed camera's?
I have a new Garmin nuvi 1390 which seems to be turning itself off, only near speed camera's (fixed ons including red light).
have done a bit of search of the net and some garmin gps do seem to have a problem of powering themselves down. But mine seems only to be doing near fixed speed camera's and ...

Should be no reasons why you cant fit the V8 conversion out of a single cab into a 4 runner, different models but pretty similar. But pretty sure you'll find a few things don't line up!
you'll have mod tailshafts and a few other things may be a bit out.

Not quite sure what you mean? Had a look at your old thread. Think the R series 4 runner box you've got wont fit the bell housing (marks 4wd bell housing?) and it would not fit the G52 box. marks used to make a bellhousing to suit a diahatsu gearbox (heavy duty from truck) I came across one when i ...

Just recently had the same problem with my 80 series! Burnt out exhuast valve will most likely be the cause. Mine was down at 30 psi on the dead cylinder rest 175psi. pull the valve cover off and check the clearences - exhaust valve will have run out of clearance and burnt out.

Gearbox will probably blow! depends how you drive it. But even if you take it easy it still may blow. The standard gearbox in my lux didn't blow with a 308 but it was replaced with a dyna (marks 4wd) when i found a cheap one. Your lux should have 4.5 diff gear which will fine for the bush, unless ...

I would recommend getting vavle clearences checked. Tend to lose clearance faster on lpg. once valve loses clearence will burn out. I learnt once the hard way. head shop said to check clearence every 40,000ks on lpg. Whereas manual says 100,000ks for petrol only. i would also reconmend getting it ...
