Thanks guys that build up was a good read.

We had a JK and loved it except the endless problems that came with it and the completely useless dealer support. I will never buy a new Chrysler again, a second hand TJ isnt out of the question though.

My mate had a AC intercooler on his supercharged Rangie 4L motor. On a 35deg day the intake would frost up it got that cold. Had about 170kw at the wheels and worked very well.

My old one stuffed up, it ate the plastic valves. I bought a new small locker only compressor, being going well since.

Having said that my mates old style has been going strong for the last 5 years sometimes inflating 8 or more 35's at the end of each trip

Sounds like when i had a worn pinion bearing in the rear diff/dry worn out tailshaft. Try moving the pinion up and down when there is no load on it and grease the tailshaft

I think that 3in would be too big on a na 4.2 my supercharged 4.2 only has a 2.5in system.

Try stripping all the weight you can out of it, makes a big difference.
