This is awesome idea!

Does the motor bolt up stock mounts?

How do you go into engineer it?

Wouldn't you be using RB30 patrol g/box and t/case mated to the motor? Or use the original RD28 combo?

You still running standard computer?

Hey, Use RB25 gearbox - similar to RB30 on patrols, but slighty bigger and stronger input shaft and can be modifed slighty to fit the bellhousing (transfer case might bolt on to the 25 gearbox but don't quote it on me). Definetly recommend turbo the RB30 - hello 7,000rpm! Do a search on this forum for info, there are heaps of info and more people are putting turbo on their nissans since it's cheaper and easier to do a turbo than engine conversion. Cheers Grant p.s. If you were to sell, I reckon you could sell ...

Hey, Your must be 3.9, one way you can check is, build plate on firewall, drivers side - look in axle there should said 'HGxx' 39, 41, 43, 46 (from memory). What does '39' '41' '43' '46' refer to? It means the diff ratio in the axles ('39' means 3.9 drive and so on...). Hope it helps. Cheers Grant

Hey,

Try fit them, you'll know it does(n't) fit.

I'm pretty sure GU is bit bigger than GQ but you'd have to check the space between seats and cargo barriers as well.

Hope it helps.

Hey,

If it's fuel injection from FI RB30 (VL commodore or R31 Skyline), it should be easy work, I believe there is some thread about this, do a search.

Other than that, no idea.

p.s. make sure all efi system are cleaned and in good working order.

Nice work on the bar. Looks OEM b/bar!

Whoever did this must be very talented welder, wouldn't you have some close-up pictures of the bar by any chance?

Isn't the GQ on rear of 1st picture (behind the TT) GQTRBO (looks familiar, feel free to correct me if it isn't).

Another question guys, (sorry for off-topic).

Will 31x10.5x15 fill the guard without flares of any kind (patrol offset) Bec my pootrol didn't come with one, If not, I'll just get rubber strips off clark rubber and screw it on guards.

Ok, seeing there is various answer, wheel offset is one of most important role in fitting of these rims/tyres.

Anyone has 33" that I could test-fit to see if it rubs or not... Or has 31" for sale with rims? PM me if you do.

find if somone nearby will let you fit 33's. Then just ramp it up on something and see how you go. They may fit. And if they do rub it will most likly only be the mudflaps.
