Re: 12ht idle

Sorry to hijack this a little, but say there is water in the oil, could it be valve clearance? As I know someone with the same issue! After replacing headgasket, it idles funny and has water in the oil. No, unrelated (unfortunately for your friend). Water in the oil could indicate a cracked head or ...

Re: 12ht idle

Yes I would double check your valve clearances. Is it using water? Is there water in the oil? Are there bubbles coming up in the radiator? Check your water trap and filters to rule them out as well. Sorry to hijack this a little, but say there is water in the oil, could it be valve clearance? As I ...

How many kms does a tank last? 10l/100 is damn awesome!

Hey,

Saw your beast for sale. I was looking into getting one, but after doing some research on here, they suck fuel like no tommorow. I want to upgrade my 4.5 80 Series as its slow when towing my race car. '

Do you have any fuel figures at all??

Whoa, thanks for that reply dude!! I looked in the Gregorys manual, and to me it looked like panhard, but thought panhard wasnt part of steering. If that arm is all worn out, what should I do?

Steering Delayed in 80 Series

Hey guys, My steering is very light/delayed in my 80 series. I thought this was strange at first but have read that its 80 series nture to be a little delayed. I have no discovered the delay is from the Panhard Rod. Most likley the bush? Is it just ok to get the bush replaced or should I get an ...

Turbo kits for petrol 4.5?

Hey guys I know in UAE it's popular to slap on big turbos like hks t51r on landcruiser 4.5 motors but that's going overboard.

Is there any turbo kits for the 4.5 80 series? Do you think with the extra torque it will be more furl efficiant too? (assuming drivng it normally not thrashing it).

Well just got back. On the way there, it was painful. We had me and 3 other guys, plus a set of wheels and tyres in the back, big jack, jack stands and ramps, and a big tool box at least 50kg. The GTR on the back, with about 6 Jerry cans of fuel in it. I hardly saw 110km, I can remember seeing it ...

lol ., how much fuel do you think it will drink? Damn I should have saved up more for a Turbo Diesel :(. The main reason I got this thing was to tow. I wouldn't feel too bad about it. You'd have a better chance of cracking 20l/100 towing with the petty than finding a turbo diesel cruiser that's ...

Heaviest you have towed? Plus any pointers?

Hi guys, I just recently bought an 80 Series. Its a 1994 model Auto Petrol (4.5) with LPG. Drove it from Melb to Syd, and now Im in Canberra for work. Its great, but LPG is very slow going up hills. Anyways, On the weekend I plan to tow the race car from Sydney to Wakefield Park. All up its about 2T ...
