I had heard that they had a lower 1-2 ratio where can this be verified
1st and 2rd are lower in the td box but asfar as housings they are the same

TD TB 5 speed box differences
like it says is there and differences in either the gearing or fitting of a TD box instead of a TB4.2 5 speed box. My box is stuffed and i can get the TD4.2 box at mates rates.

Having issues getting the 97 4.2efi GQ into 2nd gear all other are fine and all including 2nd drive fine
I thought i have read that this may be a stick issues not gears

looking for ideas as i have checked just about everything and not sure where to look next the blinker system has a short in it blows the fuse as soon as you turn it on disconnected the stork still blows has disconected the light and the trailer plug checked all the wiring any ideas what to look for ...

Have just done this myself have a 95l usable tank in behind the seat its a long thin tank that still allows me to get the waeco in easily and 100l usuable under the back as well as the 70l petrol beside the drive shaft you do loose a bit of space but you also save it by not having to carry jerries ...

isnt 40 km the max you are legally aloud to go on a beach i have heard of people getting booked for speeding up at stockton beach for going faster

the 4in lift was for the 34jts that i used to run but at the time couldnt afford to replace them hence the 31s i am going to get some 33s for offroad but tend to do more touring hence the toeing a van

currently have a 95 gq efi 4in lift 31in tyres and believe the diffs a 4.1 i am after more grunt when towing my caravan if i put in the 4.3 diff centers is it going to help me of not

I remember reading a post that told you how to refill the viscus fan in a GQ using toyota stuff. It required drilling and tapping a plug
