Yeah the donor car was written off in the flood we had here in cairns so that diesel idea has been shelved for a while

well been a while but my 1.9 intercooled turbo diesel Peugeot has been written off..... so we have a doner,,, stay posted just need to find a vehicle suitable for the transplant!

only if you want really early strong boost. the reason being these isuzu engines only peak rev at about 3000 and start to boost at 1200 so basically unless you plan to never rev your car over 2800 i wouloden't worry bacause it will run out of legs high range. This guy is a tosser he has put the same post on other forums, got a heap of people excited then never replied just like here!!!!!

Many parts are interchangeable, as to how far you go depends on how much power you want and exactly what you have in the first place. You dont need all of the "turbo" bits to make some pretty stout power. Im going for 180 RWHP my starting lump is out of a 89 gq with 527k on the clock!!!!! :roll:

About to do up a TD42 to turbo spec.

Other than the pistons and rods and fuel pump is there any other difference bettween the engines???
Crankshaft maybe?

and dose anyone know of suppliers for these bits. I have never seen conrods advertised anywhere.

yes you can use anything you like and you can also re-register the car. im now toying with the idea to put either a holden alloytec or a toyota 4 litre

both weigh less,
have more horsepower and torque,
will bring the weight off the front axle and make it more central,
and cheaper rego and insurance.

has anyone simply replaced the engine managment system with aftermarket??
was thinking with better engine control more horsepower may ba achieved with a better combustion. as we all know the standard setup always blows black smoke
