I am not being a smarty-bum here, but it needs to be said.
If your experience of painting cars is at the point where you need to ask the questions that you asked...I would seriously consider getting some professional (or at least someone who knows what they are doing) help. Have them there to help ...

A tyre size restriction and not allowing wheel spacers are two completely different things...
I know its the organisers right to make the rules that they see fit, but I agree with Guts on this...you can have offset rims or cut and welded rims (quality of welds is a guess) but you cant have spacers ...

There are a few ways to attach the net to the window frame...I have seen people use velcro, cable ties and recently I modified a set for Ian Paltridge that utilized press studs.
Along the bottom there are, once again, a few different ways to go...bungee loops, sailtrack, adhesive velcro and so on ...

If you are really worried about certain things in the shed, simply cover them over with old sheets or whatever you can find. To limit the amount of overspray that floats around wet the floor of the shed. The overspray will settle on the water, limiting the amount that floats around inside the shed ...

I sub-contract for a camper trailer manufacturer here in Brisbane, so I have seen quite a few campers...
Most campers are 7 x 4 with 500mm sides and leaf sprung suspension...by the time the tent section is fitted the weight of the trailer comes out in the 550kg area. That only allows 150kg of gear ...

rear 60 leaf packs
Can anyone tell me if the rear leaf pack (2" lift) in a 60 series is spring loaded...basically do I have to clamp them when removing the centre bolt, or can I just undo them without the clamp?

Suspension Geometry
Just about to order a new set of shocks for my HJ60. But they dont make the ones I want for a 2" lift...only a 4" lift.
I have ramped my truck and took measurements, but as I always do...I have lost the piece of paper with all the measurements on.
I just jacked up the front corner to see how far ...

clutch adjustment questions.
HJ60 landcruiser.
Climbed under it yesterday to adjust the clutch...was told I could adjust it slightly at the slave cylinder (hoping thats correct terminology).
Unsure of which way to adjust, I tried both ways and found the winner (or so I thought). The clutch was heaps better than what it was ...

Lack of Maintenance perhaps?
Got a phone call from a mechanic mate of mine this afternoon...I was in the area so I called in to his workshop to see what all the fuss was about.
The story behind it is as follows....
Lady rang him early in the morning, saying that the brakes on her 80 series suddenly started making a grinding ...

I just bled the brakes again....and pumped enough fluid through them to garauntee that there is no air in the system. The system is airtight (done a few tests that are mentioned in the manual) so I am leading towards the rear shoes.

HELP NEEDED - SOLUTION FOUND!
I just finished bleeding my brakes on my HJ60...again! The first push of the peddle is soft, then on the second the pressure is there and brakes work great.
This tells me there is still air in the line somewhere...correct?
In the manual it says something about bleeding the brake proportioning ...
