i had this issue right up until a couple of days agov:P upon removal of the drum off the transfer it was half full of dirt and also no meat on the shoes. cleaned out the drum and all the parts, re assembled with new shoes. drove about a k with the hand brake on a click or 2 and now she holds better ...

all sorted now. for some reason mine are weird. they didn't have the retaining ring. it was built into the head lights. maybe on 1L's they're like that? i grabbed a set off a 1.3 at the wreckers. now i'm set. cheers anyway.

Headlight retaining rings

hey people. i have a problem. one of my sealed beams have blown. apparently i am supposed to have a metal removeable retaining ring that holds the beam in. with mine they seem to be a part of the headlight? can anyone help me out or explain what to do? i bought new head lights that aren't sealed ...

thanks heaps guys, a lot of different points, a lot of different suggestions. Its made me aware of even more tyres out there so its making it even harder to decide.

yea i do drive it on the road as well. and yea i do have to drive over rock etc. i haven't arrived at those 2 tyres, just ones i was considering. i thought the centipedes seemed quite good as theyr quite a soft compound?

Buying new tyres what should i get? so many oppinions?

I'm asking people's oppinions. i like going into mud, like a good climb and i'm not too worried about the price of the tyres. i have a sierra ute. have 31's on it at the moment, but they're getting low, and they'r buckshots.
