I used to have pro-comp mx6's all round ....could never fault them ! Had tuff puppies put on and after one big day out two are stuffed ...one is leaking , one has no rebound damper .....
i will be going to pro-comp again

i was with Western QBE , but met a broker at a party who said he woiuld do some homework ........came back 3 days later [ i thought he was full of piss n wind] and gave me SHANNONS quotes they were cheaper than my QBE rates , the only thing they did was come out an photo my rig and ask for all mods ...

Yep after 12 years of Rover's getting cheezed off with electrical crap , oil leaks poor build quality constant breaking down fuel injection drama blah blah and spending a squillion on them i sold up and hunted around for 2 months , found a 2000 GU 4.2TD with 39k on the clock .

Thanx heaps for the reply ! I will have a look around at poundages then on the linier .I like the Tuff Dogg but the wire is huge and they say they are "stiff" so will have a look into Kings and Lovells , I think thats about all we have over here .

Hi to all ,
Talking to various suspension shops about raised springs for my GU , and got kind of lost and this may sound dumb but I really have no idea what they mean when they say ....
A Patrol won't drive well or handle well without "progressive rated springs in the rear " .
Then under advise ...

1. did you notice adverse affects in steering once in 4x4 , moving in rutts and rocks?

Hi to all ,
I have changed ranks from Rover to a 2000 GU 4.2TD ST and have never been happier !
I fitted up Kings 50mm over linier fronts and progressive rears with long travel Koni shocks and find this a good set up for the touring that i will be doing , but a mate is on his way up to Opp Lock ...

Yeah just had a look thru my old 4WDmonthly collection and yes the artical is named "Iron Spagetti " has full write up about how they invented all this stuff and Equip DESIGNED and manufactured the kits in Italy mountains for the Disco and L/R 90 in the pic's .

De-ja-vu ! I up graded my cv's to the 110 on my 1990 Rangie and with no locker running 33 's and the 4.7 stroker she went snapo up in Collie and looks just like tha photo !!! Are you sure thats yours and not mine must be your photo as i don't have a neat table

I'm looking at finding a set of rolla draws and so far no luck to fit into the rear of the Rangee .I called into ARB and Opp Lock but they stated they don't have them and to fab them up as they haven't sold any sets as yet .
The draws i want have the sealed barings , not wooden ones with plastic ...

If you have put in a "new " radiator and thermostat and thermo fans , you may have an air lock put your Rangee on a hoist with the front wheels only and lift up and remove the radiator plug and run engine till operating temp and see if bubbles come out .

mine is a 3.9 that has been stroked to a 4.7 lt with the Dynotec 216 at 4 degs advance mine has unreal torque down low and the over take / kick down is great as well , i tow a kimberly camper a lot down south and just got back from up north without even a hickup . I run the haltec e6x with a thor ...
