Re: welding to chassis

by welding you heat affect the chassis. makes a weak point.

do you really want to do that to the main part that holds your car together ??

talk to an engineer. that way when your sliders brake off and rip the chassis rails apart you can blame him for the cost of a new car.

i would never sell ...

Re: what are the lift laws in qld??

i'm with you BADMAV on those suggestions.

but since your only allowed 2 inches of lift in QLD if you have 3 inches of lift and have a crash then "TECHNICALLY" your car is unresistered. because it is outside of the laws of registeered vehicles.

I only have 2 inches of lift (and NRMA insurance ...

Re: what are the lift laws in qld??

so does everyone in QLD who has a lift over 40mm not have any kind of insurance ??

is everyone running the risk of being done for an unresistered/un insured car ??

what happens if you hit a fezza and brake the guys legs. if your insurance is void how are you going to pay for his 400k car and all ...

use them every day on road. playing at 4x4 parks. fraser and moreton. never had any problems ...

thanks for the help guys.

i'll pull the arms out this weekend and get some new bushes if need be.

they feel alright by wiggling a screwdriver in them but i guess it's a different story when it's all undone.

thanks

thanks guys.

i thought it may have been the shocks and springs so i replaced them. it went away but it's back in less than 12 months so i guess it's something else.

i'll order a set of new bushes and press them in and see how we go.

really got nothing to loose. it's even worse towing a trailer ...

i didn't post it there because it's not nissan specific.

more to do with anything that has a panhard rod and trailing arms in the rear.

sorry if that makes no sense. mods feel free to move if you think it's a nissan thing only.

thanks

if it's for a GQ you can fit a 30mm pipe between the standard offset rims with tyres and the wiper. if you get it in the right spot.

with a larger offset rim you get ore room

mine is tight with the 31's but heaps of room with the 33's.
