mate just rebuilt my 1hdt a week ago cost me $2200. thats for rings, bearings,pistons,head redone with new inlet valves and crack tested
replaced crank as was cracked, with full rebuild kit that had head bolts and all your gaskets.

i have a set of 35 12.5 on -26ffset still scrub inside wheel arch, if go bigger offset they scrub on flares.
went to 35 10.5 on 2inch offset no problems.

mate had the same thing happen to mine, ended up being the left front
hub ( manual ) let go. sounds strange but cannot drive it unless centre lock is on.

I think you will find if you put manual hubs on the front you can't drive unless the centre lock is on. or hubs are locked in.

mate i have a 92 model 80 with 4inch lift drives fine so i would be also
checking the upper/lower control arm bushes.
