I think I wedged open the spring eye with a small cold chisel. Are you replacing the bushes with the springs still on the car ?

How do they handle water - like river crossings. I had fitted an 80amp holden alternator, brand new from SCA, and burnt both of them out on river crossings. I am now running the standard Vit alternator. No probs
