Pertronix igntion

Hi, I remember a while back I read somewhere on here (yes i have tried the search function) that you could by a distributor with a pertronix ignition already fitted to it for a TB42S. The cam lobe in my dizzy is worn so I wouldn't mind replacing the whole thing. Anyone know when I can find this, I'v...

Re: Looks like my factory locker is dead

My factor locker died at a comp in a big way, It was always slow to disengage. So i swapped the front and rear diff housings to GU, changed the ratios to 4.6's and put ARB lockers front and rear. Haven't looked back the ARB is heaps better goes engages and disengaged straight away. But i went a bit ...

I'm led to believe that the bell housings are the same, BUT the crank in a diesel is 7 bolt and a petrol is 6 bolt so the flex plate wouldn't go straight on, I've heard that you might be able to use a safari flex plate coz they had diesel autos. Good luck with it.

Your 80 is constant 4wd so the diff is still being driven, if you drain the oil out, the diff won't have any lubrication while its spinning. Patrols aren't constant so you could get away with draining oil and drving around if you had to, aslong as you didn't engaged 4wd or the hubs. Don't recommend ...

I haven't smashed a hub yet, only running a fresh TB42 with 35's and f/r lockers, not huge power, but if i ever do blow one I'll be getting a set, I've got a fair bit of superior gear and I've always found it to be good stuff.

If ya blowing the alloy part of the hub, superior engineering do a billet hub, which might help. You fit your standard own internals to it. Dunno what you can do if your stripping the hub internals. Link below :-) hope it helps http://www.superiorengineering.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=31_32_34_18...

GU pitman arm = BENT

Bent my GU pitman arm on my MAV, will a late model GQ pitman fit a GU box. The reason I ask because I've heard the GQ pitman arms are stronger than GU because of their shape but I also know the shafts are smaller, but I know the later model GQ's had a bigger steering box, smilar to GU, does anyone k...
