since getting my 94 dualcab lux i have been doing the things that have needed to be done mechanically but i want to get the frame knocked up for the canopy that i got for it. i tried with some 32nb xtra light black pipe and all it did was kink. seen as i work at a steel company getting the pipe aint ...

hey all,
i have had a bit of a look using the search function for problems regarding hilux idle issues. it might be the keywords that i am using.
as of yesterday the lux started to have idle issues.
when i back off the throttle when coming up to a set of lights it dies in the arse and is stalling ...

ok after a closer listen it sounds like it is coming from either the rear of the gear box or the transfer case. it sounds like it is in time with the rear drive shaft. it is a metal on metal noise which makes me think it might be a bearing. just dont know which one. any help would be good.

in the swb the 2 longest bolts are the 2 just in front of the rear seet and they are about 120mm approx long. i will def try and measure them for you tomorrow. I was to busy painting the old mans truck today.

I just put the body lift in mine today (gen 1) i put the 40mm lift in and i got bolts that we 40mm longer then standard. it worked for me. but some had a lot more thread sticking out then others. i will try and get to the old factory bolts tomorrow with a tape and post the lengths up here and in the ...

Thanks for the advise.
yesterday i ripped the gearbox out and replaced the clutch and it is safe to say that the clutch was shot. when i pulled it out, 1 of the springs have come out and was jamming it up. all fixed now and works like a dream.

brand new slave and the master has been tested and is fine. when i put my foot on the pedal it still feels like the clutch is there (but not doin any thing)

would it be the clutch or the preasure plate?
