12ht time
I'm about to start up my freshly rebuilt 12ht, but i have a few queries first... I can only find the 'hot' valve clearances documented, so is there a rule of thumb to help set them cold before the initial startup? Once she is warm i will set them again 'hot' but i need a starting point first! Also ...

Re: 12ht help
Another thing my memory has me stumped on is whether or not to put in the 2 smaller welch plugs under the side cover on the Inj-pump side. See the pic below: http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k134/mrkjfrmn/15112010001.jpg The front hole is clean from rust and looks as if a welch plug was previously ...

12ht oil pickup
Hi all, I am currently rebuilding my 12ht, but i am stuck at the reassembly of the oil pump pickup/output pipes... The problem is that the gasket set i have doesn't seem to have any gaskets designed for these flanges, and i'm struggling to remember whether there was a gasket, o ring, or nothing at ...

Yeah you'd use three of the spark outputs from the computer, hooking them up to one coil for cyl 1+6, one coil for cyl 2+5 and another to cyl 3+4 (although to suit your firing order) This is the simplest way i know of.. As for running 6 coil on plugs - yes you can do this and its easy. If you still ...

I've built and am running a megasquirt v2 on my datsun, and i can't speak highly enough of it! I'm running a crank pulley trigger wheel and 1 coil per plug (wasted spark). This meant i could ditch the sloppy old dizzy altogether and set the timing and fuel exactly where i wanted it. I built a custom ...

Navara torsion bar questions
Can someone help me out and answer a few questions about torsion bars? It seems my torsion bars have sagged on my D21 navara, so i want to raise the front back up to match the rear. When i looked under the car, the torsion bars are at completely different adjustments - is this normal? One of the ...

Thats a good point. My wheels are about 20mm outside the guards... Assuming i want to keep these rims, is there a good way to get the 31's to fit? I'm not afraid of chopping a bit of guard, but i would prefer to only chop the front if possible. I am just a bit concerned about whether i will be able ...

31's on front of D21 Navara?
Hi all, Just wondering whether anyone knows the best way to get 31's to fit on my '87 D21 Navara 4wd? I have 31's on the rear but when i tried to fit them on the front they clashed with both the front and rear of the guards when steering. I am wondering whether the castor is ajustable enough to ...
