Looking for a 4 cilinder petrol engine.
I've got a SWB series Rover. Already got Toyo axles fitted to it. But now I am also thinking about a toyo gearbox and engine. Goal is gaining a little more power and stronger gearbox then the standard series ones. Now I am running the 2,5L 4 cilinder petrol engine fitted with a LPG kit (have to ...

L70 / Bundy limited slip in the rear?
I've heard that a LJ70 has limited slip in the rear. But not always. how can I find out if the set of axles I'm intending to buy have one? They are from a LJ70 from 89 and are for fitting on a SWB landrover.
Thanx for your input!

I don't know a lot about the Nissan Patrol diffs, and I didn't think they came in ratios up to 4.7, but they are a very strong setup and very wide. You can put Toyota Hilux (minitruck) axles underneath, which come with 4.88 gears. These axles are a similar width to the Series axles, except they are ...

MQ/MK 2.8 petrol we mainly got 4.625:1 diff ratios and would be suitable. Later GQ/GU have a different offset at the rear whcih might cause you issues. Given that you specified you're on a budget, and your intended application the MQ diffs (circa 1980 -1987 for us) sound like the go for you. Do you ...

Which GU or MQ axles under a series Landrover....?
Hi, I'm running 36 Silverstones. So keep breaking the upgraded rover stuff in my series axles. Now am looking for a different brand of relatively cheap axles. To prevent breakage and go to a wider WMS right away series are 138 cm. Nissan Patrol (GR) (*they are called like this in Europe) are very ...

propshaft binding....(not even rumbles ;) )
Finally Danger (my new RR project) is up and running. Just drove the first few meters. But the front prop is binding very badly . The angle is just to great (even when not even flexing, just when driving) at the gearbox side. The U-joints are binding. The set up is approx 4 inches of lift. (springs ...

Brake scheme RR classic
've made a complete set of new copper brake pipes for my 89 RR. Also new steel flexibile hoses. But there is no example how everything should be connected Which output of the main cilinder goes to which piston in which claw? Is there a drawing about this or doesn't it really matter?

Is there a strength difference between Disco 200 TDI and RRC 89 axles? When was the 24 spline introduced on the disco? Cheers Bowy who has a RRC but can get a rolling chassis of a disco cheap. and needs stronger axles because of his 33's and future 35's http://members.lycos.nl/Bowy/images/plaatjes ...
