No probs mate, just remeber there should be no part of the snorkel and/or the bracket at the top that is actually making direct contact with the cab . Safari do give you a small piece of rubber with pre-drilled holes .

thanks guys, really apreciate your feedback, looks like there are some diesel spec oils after all, i might take this shell synthetic back to the shop, has anyone out there used synthetic oil in their diesel? what results did you get if any?

you guys are great thanx for all your help, i had also suspected there might be crap in the fuel lines, planning to take out the fuel tank and clear out the fuel lines in the next week or so, i'll let you guys know how it goes, thanx again for everyones help.

Thanks for the tip i was thinking of extractors too but i heard that putting extractors on some motors can actually cause the engine to lose power because it loses the backpressure it requires, i dont know if this is the case for the 2.8 D , probably not but in any case if there is anyone out there ...
